Schesaplana Figl Tour 2026
On the morning of 23 May 2026, our tour began with the first ride on the Lünersee cable car. We had our homemade Figl skis with us. Even during the ascent, the sunshine offered an impressive view of the still-calm Lünersee and the surrounding peaks of the Rätikon. The crisp air and the bright blue sky promised ideal conditions for the day.
From Lünersee, a small group began the ascent towards Schesaplana. The route led across snow-covered slopes and through an impressive high-mountain landscape. With every metre of altitude gained, a sweeping panoramic view of the surrounding mountains opened up. A short break at the Totalhütte was a must before we reached the summit of Schesaplana after the final ascent; at 2,965 metres, it is the highest peak in the Rätikon. The view was breathtaking – stretching from Vorarlberg far into the Swiss Alps.
After a short break, the descent on skis began. We made our way down across wide, snow-covered slopes towards Lünersee. The soft firn was ideal for skiing across the open terrain and made the descent a real highlight.
Back at Lünersee, our families welcomed us with the children, who had been exploring the lake in the meantime. Afterwards, we reflected on the tour over a cool drink at the Douglass Hut.
An unforgettable day in the mountains came to an end in glorious sunshine – marked by stunning scenery, a physical challenge and a spectacular Figl descent from the Schesaplana.
