Activity Community Gaschurn – Silvretta Ski Safari

Work and pleasure – everything in its own time!
Firstly, we have enough. To ensure that the latter is not neglected, we want to explore all 96 municipalities in Vorarlberg.

This time, the municipality of Gaschurn-Partenen was chosen. Last Saturday, we set off on the Silvretta Ski Safari.

The day began early in the morning at the Vermuntbahn cable car. From the mountain station, we took the tunnel bus through the Trominierstollen tunnel to the Bielerhöhe. At an altitude of 2,032 metres, we were surprised by a magnificent mountain panorama with bright blue skies and sunshine. The view over the Silvretta reservoir to the highest mountains in Vorarlberg was magnificent.

After a few runs on the Bielerhöhe ski lift, the next stop was at the safari meeting point. From there, we were taken by snowcat to Galtür. In the Galtür ski area, we had plenty of time to hit the slopes. Of course, we didn’t miss out on a break for refreshments either. At the end of the day, the snowcat took us back up to Zeinisjoch. From there, we made our way back to Partenen on powdery trails through the Ganifertal valley.

A unique experience of nature in our highest mountains. Packed into a day of skiing with 68 kilometres of slopes and 5,400 metres of altitude difference.
